Core Capabilities

Legacy Server Room Integration

Legacy Systems Integration

We bridge the gap between heavy enterprise software and modern cloud conveniences. If a human can click it, our digital workflows can automate it without relying on backend API access.

Desktop Software Data Entry

Hapai Data Entry

Stop burning payroll on data entry. Our automated systems process shipping manifests, vendor invoices, and compliance logs 24/7 with zero errors.

System Maintenance

System Maintenance

Software environments change. We provide continuous operational maintenance and updates to ensure your automated workflows never break down.

Proprietary Tooling:
Legacy Win32 Bridging Engine

A robust, decoupled automation framework designed to silently drive 32-bit legacy Windows applications from a modern 64-bit environment. We replace brittle, screen-hijacking bots with surgical, background OS-level messaging, allowing your team to continue using the workstation while automation runs invisibly.

  • Binary Parameter Injection

Instead of navigating slow legacy UI menus, the engine uses Python regex to perform binary hex-editing on proprietary files. We inject data directly into the file before the executable even launches.

  • Background OS Messaging

We bypass strict memory barriers using native Windows Win32 API messages to directly manipulate background window handles. This eliminates stolen mouse cursors and accidental human interference.

  • Active Cursor Targeting & Smart Polling

The engine queries the OS thread to locate the exact active input field, preventing text injection errors. Dynamic polling loops instantly detect legacy popups, permanently bypassing "File Already Exists" interruptions.

  • Decoupled Web Dashboard

We wrap your oldest legacy applications in a clean, local HTML5 web interface. Your team uses simple "Quick Buttons" on a modern dashboard to trigger complex legacy workflows in the background.

Under The Hood

Backend Python 3, ctypes, Local Microservice
Frontend UI HTML5, Vanilla JS, Internal REST Payloads
Database Lightweight JSON
Network Intel UNC OS Background Scanner
"This methodology is the ultimate workaround for un-automatable software. You don't need expensive enterprise RPA software or a dedicated 32-bit machine to tame old applications, you just need to speak directly to the Windows Operating System."

The Domain-Driven Developer.

I am Matthew. I am a domain-expert developer, former NOAA marine biologist, tech entrepreneur, and current Vessel Manager at the United Fishing Agency (UFA). I am not just a software developer sitting in a cubicle, I build hard tech for the harshest environments on earth because I've actually lived the problems I am solving.

1. The Origin: From the Deck to the Data

I spent 6 years working as a fisheries observer for NOAA in the harsh environments of the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, and the Pacific Ocean. The job was exhausting, repetitive, and incredibly dangerous. In 2015, I lost a colleague and friend, Keith Davis, at sea.

I realized that human observers could only cover a fraction of the fleet, but a computer with a camera could do the job safer, faster, and with 100% coverage. This realization sparked my transition into technology. By 2019, I co-authored a NOAA Technical Memorandum on Electronic Monitoring (EM), designing the early hardware and software logic that used mechanical triggers to automatically record catch data.

2. The Edge AI Pioneer: PelagiX & 'IKE Solutions

To scale this technology, I founded PelagiX and won the 2019 Purple Prize ($40,000 Hawaiian innovation incubator) by pitching a simple truth: "The camera doesn't lie" when it comes to sustainable fishing.

I rebranded the company to 'IKE Solutions, diving deep into Machine Vision and Edge AI. Because commercial fishing boats have zero cloud access or cell service, I sourced and programmed compact, GPU-capable edge servers. I trained machine learning models to automatically scrub thousands of hours of video, achieving 95%+ accuracy in identifying fish species versus protected bycatch (like sea turtles and seabirds) completely offline.

3. The Enterprise Architect: United Fishing Agency

Currently, I am the Vessel Manager at the Honolulu fish auction (UFA, established in 1952). To modernize their massive seafood supply chain, I pivoted into full-stack cloud development, real-time systems, and operational automation.

I spearheaded the development of their Live Swordfish Auction application, a real-time, globally synchronized bidding platform using Vanilla JS, Tailwind, and Firebase. Alongside a dedicated team, I also helped engineer a massive React.js ERP ecosystem featuring custom parsers to ingest unstructured legacy PDFs, automated financial analytics for bill settlement, and digital signage for the live auction floor. To ensure absolute data integrity, we integrated a custom Audio-Feed QA system using the Web Speech API that reads fish prices out loud to detect anomalies.

4. Capital Efficiency

Through Oahu Automations, I bring enterprise-grade capital efficiency to local businesses. We liberate owners from manual data entry, allowing them to scale operations and compete without the massive overhead of bloated payrolls or forced software migrations.

My Philosophy

"I am a Domain-Driven Developer. I don't build software looking for a problem; I live the problem first, and then engineer the exact hardware, AI, and cloud architecture needed to solve it, whether that's on a boat 1,000 miles offshore, or on the floor of a fast-paced fish auction."
